Questions, answered
Everything artists and DJs ask before joining the pool.
Is it really free?
Yes, for artists and DJs at launch. No subscription, no pay-per-download. We're building the community first.
What formats can artists upload?
WAV, FLAC, AIFF or MP3, up to 80MB. DJs preview a 192kbps MP3, and verified DJs download your lossless master.
Who can sign up as a DJ?
Anyone who plays music from the region, wherever you're based: Dubai, Beirut, Cairo, Berlin or LA.
How does the approval process work?
New uploads get a light quality check before they're listed. We aim to turn those around within 24 hours.
How do I get verified as a DJ?
Sign up, then add your Instagram and city on your account page. We check that you play out and verify you, usually within a day. Until then you can download the 192kbps MP3 of any track; masters, intro edits and crate downloads unlock once you are verified.
Can I upload edits and remixes?
Yes. Choose remix or edit, credit the original track and tick the rights boxes at upload. Edits and remixes are shared with verified DJs for promotional use only. The quality spec has the details.
What genres are covered?
All of them. Any artist making music in or from the Middle East and North Africa can submit, whatever the genre.
Does .wavpool own the rights to everything in the pool?
No. Rights vary by track. Artists confirm their rights on every upload, and the Verified badge only appears after our team checks ownership. Everything else is shared with verified DJs for promotional use.
How do I report a track?
Open the track in the pool and choose Report, or use the report page with the track link and a short reason. We review every report within 2 working days and remove the track if the claim holds.
