How to get your music to DJs in the pool. Rights vary by track; we do not claim blanket clearance across the catalog.

| Formats |
| WAV, FLAC, AIFF or MP3. WAV preferred for masters. Max 80MB per file. |
| Headroom |
| Bounce with at least −1 dB headroom on the master bus. Clipping above 0 dB will be rejected. |
| Required metadata |
| Title, artist name, BPM, musical key, and at least one genre. Artwork strongly recommended (square, min 1400px). |
| Originals |
| Your own production, or a release you own or control. You make a per-track rights representation at upload; the uploader waiver covers distribution to verified DJs. Only tracks promoted to the verified-original tier unlock auto-edit packs, stems, featuring, or sync. |
| Edits & remixes |
| Select track type (edit or remix), credit the source artist/title, and confirm the promo-distribution rights block. Edits and remixes stay on the community tier - promotional distribution to gated DJs only; never auto-edited, featured, or sync-licensed. |
| Clean vs explicit |
| Mark explicit content at upload so radio-safe DJs can filter. When in doubt, choose explicit. |
| Auto intro edits (originals) |
| When an original is approved, .wavpool may auto-generate an 8-bar instrumental intro (stem separation + crossfade into the full mix). Assumes 4/4 time and correct BPM. Remixes and manual edits are skipped - upload those yourself. |
